Meet Kristin!

I graduated from the University of Evansville’s doctor of physical therapy program in 2014 and started my career in inpatient rehab.  I discovered my love for pediatrics not long after in 2016 when my family made our move to Charleston! I have also worked briefly in skilled nursing facilities and with young adults with special needs through their day programs! My heart lies with Early Intervention, emphasis on the EARLY part…0-1 year-old.  However, some of my very favorite little friends are those who are just as dedicated to their therapy as I am! These STRONG kiddos who have encountered significant developmental challenges have families who continue to welcome me into their home have made this “job” a dream.

What is your favorite guilty snack? Popcorn, chips & salsa

Meet Cathy!

I graduated from the University of Evansville's Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in 2020 just after falling in love with Charleston and my kiddos here on my final clinical rotation. I was lucky enough to come immediately back to those same kiddos along with a few more and haven't looked back since! I did rotations in outpatient orthopedics as well as inpatient rehab but, nothing made me happier than Early Intervention Pediatrics! I enjoy working with complex and medically fragile children in order to empower them to be as independent as possible. I also thoroughly enjoy assisting kiddos and their families through use of equipment and DME to help them to achieve their goals.

I have a passion for working with kiddos of all ages and abilities and love creating a fun, engaging, and supportive environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive. I love pediatrics and early intervention and love to create a fun and engaging environment for the kiddos! I believe therapy should feel empowering and joyful and celebrate both big milestones and small victories along the way!

During my clinical rotations I was exposed to outpatient orthopedics, pediatrics, and inpatient rehab. I was lucky enough to find my passion for pediatrics. Working with children is incredibly rewarding because it allows me to play a small role in helping them grow, gain confidence, and achieve their movement goals. There is nothing more rewarding than helping children discover what they are capable of, and I am grateful for the opportunity to support them as they learn, grow, and thrive.

I always knew I wanted to end up in pediatrics, which was further confirmed throughout my clinical experiences. I love working in early intervention because it gives me the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with kids and their families while helping them reach important developmental and functional milestones. I especially enjoy making therapy fun and engaging so that kids feel confident and excited to participate. It is incredibly rewarding to watch kids gain new skills, overcome challenges, and celebrate progress that can make a meaningful difference in their everyday life!

Rehabilitative Sciences, OT in 2003 and my Post-Professional Doctorate degree in OT in

2023. I graduated from Wofford College in 1999 with my bachelor’s degree, majoring in

My husband and I have three daughters, currently ages 19, 17, and 13. Together as a family,

we love to travel and share adventure. We spend a lot of time in Western North Carolina, as

well as Florida. We have two Boykin spaniels, Salty and Goose, who we adore.

I absolutely love my profession. I am so grateful for the allowance to serve in a variety of

settings in various capacities (i.e. part/full-time) over the years. I have spent most of my

career working as a school-based OT, with the largest part of my caseload being

preschoolers. I have also enjoyed having my own private practice, working in acute care,

and teaching at various levels. I love it all!
